I met Rhonda six years ago when I was at my corporate job. She has this magic about her that makes you immediately want to do your best. I remember the first brainstorm session I was in with her during my first week of work...I was begging my brain to come up with something clever to contribute (the more likely scenario is that I cowered in shyness and tried to shrink away), but regardless, our professional relationship began and here we are six years later! When Rhonda told me that she was due for some new headshots, I knew I wanted them to be GREAT. We chose the location as the Ferry Building in San Francisco as it would suit her urban style and fast-paced personality. Let me say - she...was...awesome! Usually when I am walking into a headshot session, I know I need to do some major warm-up because most people are uncomfortable in front of the camera (especially with dozens of people walking around watching the action). Not Rhonda! She was fired up and ready to go. She allowed my creativity to run wild and allowed me to do my best.
My advice to others looking for headshots? Find a photographer that you can trust to give you their very best. This means trusting them to put you in environments that suit your style, but bring out the very best look for you. Does this mean every person I shoot needs to be in the middle of a busy intersection? Absolutely not. It means trusting me to get to know your personality and goals, then suggest the environment that will best represent who you are, personally and professionally. In the digital age of social media, these two personalities are merging together more and more...let your headshot depict who you are!
Thank you, Rhonda, for being an ideal model. I had a blast at our shoot and appreciate you trusting me to bring out the very best you.
